Omanu Golf Club!

Our 9 nights (felt like 3!)  at the lovely beachside Mount camping ground are now over and as my long awaited driving licence arrived yesterday we have actually really started moving. We were 2 km north of home at the Mount camp and last night we travelled all the way to Omanu Golf Club to spend the night 2 km south of home. You can see that we are really moving now! We were going to play on Omanu before we moved on, as this is the last day of our membership here, but the course was already busy at 6.45 daylight saving time, so we have decided to move onto our next stop of Tirau and play golf there. My golf will be pretty rusty, not having played more than one game in the last 5 months, but no-one will know me there! T.

First stop - Mount Maunganui!

Well, here we are, at the Mount Maunganui camping ground, for the first official night of our no"mad"ic year. We arrived back from James and Elaine's wedding on Monday, spent that night in Debussy on Colin and Carlene's front lawn, and then the next two nights at Sandra and Matt's looking after the boys.
This is probably at the top end of places we will be staying but it is rather nice to look out over the beautiful blue sea and be somewhere local for a week or two. We went for an amble (actually a walk/jog!) round the Mount this afternoon, once installed, and then into town. Not able to record Masterchef of course so had to watch it live - life is already changing!
Also have a buyer for the car who's prepared to wait until the month end to collect - couldn't be better!
